She was Olympus's Queen. Its sacrifice. Its savior. Its destruction.

Long ago, Circe was Hermes' entire heart. The two women lived on the outskirts of Olympian society, content with a quiet life away from the spotlight. Then Circe caught the eye of Zeus…and was forced into a marriage that would take her freedom, her future, and in the end, her life. In the wake of the tragedy, gossip swirled about the woman Zeus married and (allegedly) murdered…but in time, everyone forgot about beautiful, tragic Circe.

Everyone but Hermes, who vowed on that day to bring Olympus to its knees.

Now, fifteen years later, a new Zeus rules the city, a new Hades protects his people, a new hope dawns…and Hermes has begun to think there may be things about Olympus worth saving. With Atalanta by her side―and slowly rebuilding her heart―Hermes may finally be ready to set aside her fury and seek the city's rebirth instead of its total annihilation. But there is a beautiful devil on Hermes' other shoulder: a devil who rose, blood-soaked, from where Zeus left her for dead years ago. A devil who has waited all this time to have her revenge.

And no matter their past, no matter the desperate love they once shared, no matter the complicated triad forming between the three women, Circe will not rest until all of Olympus lays shattered at her feet…and the gods help anyone who gets in her way.

A scorchingly hot modern retelling of Hermes and Atalanta and Circe.

“Shattered Gods” is almost here.

All good things must come to an end. Katee Robert’s Dark Olympus series is no exception, though I’m sure many readers would petitionfor regular updates of our favorite legacy families a la Muse Watch. IYKYK.

“Shattered Gods” is the culmination of the plot to overthrow the Olympus and the Thirteen, bringing the political unrest to a crescendo and then ultimately resolution. Things definitely didn’t play out how I expected, and I’m sure there will be some twists and turns for you, reader, so buckle up and hang on tight.

If you’re trying to gage how the last book in the series plays out, you only need to read the title to get the vibes. Dark Olympus started with “Neon Gods” – bright, shiny, dazzling. Throughout a somewhat quick timeline, chaos, confusion, murder plots and mental games all play a part in the city’s demise.

Now, at the end, our Gods are broken. Destroyed. Dare I say unfixable?

There are some couples that I’ve loved more than others throughout the Dark Olympus series (looking at you, Poseidon and Icarus). Some couples seem to be paired to advance the plot, whereas others might be done for shock value or simply based on Greek mythology.

Regardless of which pairing you’re reading, it’s been wonderful to have a series that balanced romantic and personal relationships consistently throughout the development.

Hermes and Circe have been teased for the last few installments, but adding Atalanta into the mix was a surprise.

Katee Robert had to do a lot of heavy lifting with “Shattered Gods”. There were so many storylines and plot points to tie together, and I think she does a decent job of wrapping everything together nicely with a bow.

Did it end how I expected? I don’t think so. Does it work? Absolutely.

“The future is wide open with possibilities and hope.” -Hecate

Did Katee Robert leave the door open for a modern spin off series? Maaaaaybe. Readers, let me know what you think when you’re done. It’s clear that an author who can navigate a 10 book series isn’t afraid to look ahead or play the long game. What is a bread crumb and what is just wishful thinking?
