Nothing can rain on Quincy Monroe’s parade. She’s a woman in STEM with a PhD in atmospheric sciences, the host of a successful online weather show, and has one million followers on her meteorology Instagram. Quincy has spent endless hours forging her path in this male-dominated field, becoming one of the best in the industry. And with a new job opportunity, nothing can derail her success. Except for the ill-timed arrival of Sebastian Dunn. Sebastian is her best friend’s brother, her longtime academic and professional rival, and a flashy TV weatherman from New York City that everyone swoons over. Everyone but Quincy. Over a scorching Florida summer and record-breaking hurricane season, Sebastian and Quincy are forced into close proximity. Setting aside their grudges to chase storms and stay alive is one thing, but can they weather the inevitable collision of their hearts?
I’m Lost For Words
When books are as good as “In Stormy Weather”, it becomes difficult to form coherent sentences that aren’t just “this was so freaking good” and “get your copy asap, just trust me”, but sometimes that is the most authentic review I can write. Much like how to define “love”, there aren’t always enough words to properly describe something that just is a “when you know, you know” feeling. I’ll do my best, though.

Chelsea Curto’s words struck lightning and electrified all of my nerves in the best ways. I’m a weather nerd through and through. It’s a hobby and an interest, not a career. That said, being able to see myself in Quincy is a beautiful moment for me, and I’m certain it will be the same for many women lucky enough to read “In Stormy Weather”.
Not only do we have Quincy, a woman who owns her intelligence and passion, but Curto also doubles down by building her love interest to be a most loyal and loving partner. Sebastian, sharing the same passion and the same drive, not only realizes that Quincy is brilliant, but defends and champions her at every single opportunity.

We Love Unapologetically Intelligent Women
I couldn’t be more proud to read a story about an intelligent woman who refused to dumb herself down to become more digestible to the masses. Curto shows her intelligence through writing Quincy. Readers are getting the science, the terminology, the vibes, and the excitement that comes with a natural phenomenon. All of the words on page paint a most glorious picture of all that Mother Nature can accomplish when she puts her mind to it.
Swoon-Worthy Romance
On top of all that, we have some really sexy flirting, banter, and engagement from a couple that could spark an inferno. I’m talking H-O-T-T hot.
Sebastian is a simp for Quincy, but their relationship is more than turbulent in this instigators to lovers romance. I loved every page of their interactions and looked forward to all their run-ins. I wish I could watch their live videos. I’d be glued to their channels.

This is my first book from Chelsea Curto, but I immediately want to devour the rest of her backlist, and I can’t wait to see how she continues to develop as a writer.

I’m Val, and I’m excited to share my love of books with you! I’m a sassy Sour Patch kid from New Jersey, dog mom to Chance the beagle, and much like the rest of the Hive, I’m a coffee lover (I think it’s a requirement to be here). The first book I remember reading voluntarily involved a boy wizard who lived in the cupboard under the stairs, and I’ve been chasing magic ever since. I love Happily Ever Afters, and I love love. My favorite genres are romance and rom-coms, fantasy, and young adult/new adult. If I’m not reading, I’m probably kayaking, watching the Great British Baking Show, or discovering a new craft beer.
