From Alix E. Harrow, the New York Times bestselling author of Starling House, comes a moving and genre-defying quest about the lady-knight whose legend built a nation, and the cowardly historian sent back through time to make sure she plays her part–even if it breaks his heart.

Sir Una Everlasting was Dominion’s greatest hero: the orphaned girl who became a knight, who died for queen and country. Her legend lives on in songs and stories, in children’s books and recruiting posters―but her life as it truly happened has been forgotten.

Centuries later, Owen Mallory―failed soldier, struggling scholar―falls in love with the tale of Una Everlasting. Her story takes him to war, to the archives―and then into the past itself. Una and Owen are tangled together in time, bound to retell the same story over and over again, no matter what it costs.

But that story always ends the same way. If they want to rewrite Una’s legend―if they want to tell a different story--they’ll have to rewrite history itself.

"Alix E. Harrow is an exceptional, undeniable talent." ―Olivie Blake, New York Times bestselling author of The Atlas Six

"An utter masterpiece… I loved every single page." ―Rachel Gillig, New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of One Dark Window

Alix E. Harrow’s newest novel, The Everlasting, is one that makes me go “hmm.” Owen and Una are narrators to each other enduring a similar storyline over and over again much like a puppet is meant to dance by strings held by its master. This concept of reconceptualizing history with time travel and setting it unprecedented medieval times feels both folkloric and yet relevant to present times.

I was entranced by the storyline. Sir Una is a woman whose name is revered among many— from peasants to royalty. Her character is even more insurmountable. I was beguiled by Una and Owen, and stunned by how everything plays out on the page. Owen is our scholastic historian whose heart is so easily won over by Sir Una. Having their romance unfold throughout the story lends to the epic-nature of The Everlasting. I’ll admit that the twist and reveal had me stunned and utterly unprepared to put this story down in order to function in reality with (ugh) adult responsibilities.

Masterfully crafted, heartbreaking in its relevance, and utterly unputdownable, The Everlasting is a novel that still haunts the corners of my mind. I love when new to me authors make such a lasting impression. Don’t wait to secure your own gorgeous copy of Alix E. Harrow’s The Everlasting.
